Superwog is an original sketch comedy duo created by Sydney based brothers Theo and Nathan Saidden. The duo uploaded their first videos to YouTube in 2008 and since then they have had an incredible 517+Million YouTube views across 69 videos and more than 3.61+Million subscribers. The Superwog Channel has gone from strength to strength whilst breaking records, earning awards and becoming one of Australia’s most loved and watched YouTube channels.
Superwog transformed their YouTube presence to a live performance in 2013 where the duo received rave reviews and sold out shows. Since then, Superwog have presented numerous live shows across the country in front of devoted and hard-core fans. Since then the duo completed a further three national tours in 2015, 2019 and 2022, hitting all the major cities and smaller towns across Australia and New Zealand with an outrageously hilarious live show. They continued their 2022 tour internationally where they sold out Leicester Square Theatre in London.
The boys were chosen to be part of Google & Screen Australia’s Skip Ahead initiative in 2016 which gives YouTube creators the opportunity to branch into long form video. Through this initiative Superwog released their first feature length episode debuting in July 2017. The pilot immediately shot to the #1 trending spot on YouTube (Australia) and hit a staggering 1 million views in three days with audiences from all over the globe tuning in. The 2017 pilot episode also picked up an AACTA Award nomination for Best Online Video in and won the Junkee Award for Video of the year.
The popularity of the pilot episode was such a success a full series was commissioned. In October 2018 the 6-part, long form series hit mainstream television, available on ABC Comedy, ABC iView and (of course) on YouTube. The series consistently hit the #1 trending position and reached a staggering 15+Million views online. Superwog released a new series on Netflix in June 2021 titled Son Of A Donkey for a 6-part series smashing success. In 2024, season two of Son Of A Donkey has completed filming and is set to release on Netflix in the new year.
Superwog continue to release videos on their YouTube channel and are currently writing their next project.
