Luke Heggie is an Australian comedian, but not one of the blazer-wearing ones, having his back slapped by humorist satirists on TV. He works mainly as a stand up comic, but not one of those ones who asks audience members their names and then proceeds to remind them what they look like, which is in very high demand due to the increase in self-obsession of rank and file members of the public.
He is a raw and unapologetic live club act, working six or seven nights per week. When he’s not doing that, he is writing and producing MID FLIGHT BRAWL with Melbourne’s best comedian Nick Cody; a weekly podcast cataloging air rage incidents throughout the ages. The podcast has also toured live shows across Australia.
Against the odds, Luke has dabbled in television. In 2022/23 Luke wrote and starred in a 6 part series for ABC’s The Weekly, turning his stand up into sketches, entitled Joyful Strains. Other appearances on the small screen include the Just for Laughs Stand-Up Series for the Comedy Channel, Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala for both Channel 10 and the ABC, as well as ABC’s Comedy Next Generation and Paramount Plus. He’s also appeared on Question Everything and The Project.
Luke Heggie has released multiple hour long stand up specials including:
TIPRAT (2018 – Network 10, TENPLAY, & YouTube),
HAVE THAT (2019 – YouTube)
I ALREADY TOLD YOU (2022 – Paramount +, ABC iView)
GROT (2025 – Youtube)
LOWBREED (2022 – Youtube)
His comedy specials have amassed over 700K views on Youtube.
In 2024, he released his debut book IF YOU MUST KNOW. It’s three of his shows, transcribed and illustrated. In 2025, Luke released the second in this series entitled YOUR STUPID, featuring a further 3 shows, again illustrated by Emilie Protiere.
He has been touring shows throughout festivals and beyond for over a decade. He has been writing and performing a new hour show every year. A lot of comics say they do that, but they’re usually lying.
Luke has just completed a 2025 National Tour of Australia performing his latest hour YUCK in comedy festivals and regional towns. In 2024, he sold out his show GROGAN in Australian comedy festivals, and followed it up with a 30 date regional tour. Before that he toured GROT, Luke is relentless, even supporting other comics on tour, including the likes of Ari Shaffir, Tim Dillon, and Troy Hawke.
Between countless of his own gigs all over the country, Luke is well versed in entertaining corporate crowds for their biggest events. He has entertained for the likes of Canon, CMFEU, PMC Property Buyers, Electrical Trades Union, Ticketek, AFL Commentator’s Club, Corin Forest Operations, Visy, P & S Group & Shipping Australia Limited.
Check him out when he comes somewhere you’re going to be. Or not. No one really cares what you do.
No lowbreeds please.
